The New Hampshire Carbon Challenge™ in partnership with the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), the New England Grassroots Environment Fund (NEGEF), Clean Air-Cool Planet (CA-CP), UNH Cooperative Extension (UNHCE), and the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve Coastal Training Program (CTP), is pleased to announce a new series of innovative workshops to train Climate Champions who will engage their communities in the fight against climate change using the New Hampshire Carbon Challenge.

WORKSHOP SERIES:

Workshop #1: New Hampshire Carbon Challenge Presenters

Workshop #2: Community Carbon Challenge Organizers (grassroots organizing skills and tools)

Workshop #3: Community Carbon Challenge Organizers - Continuing Education

 

We are now accepting applications for Workshop #1 to train individuals to give NH Carbon Challenge presentations in their communities. Space is limited and we are seeking highly motivated, engaging individuals to help spread the Carbon Challenge message of energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reductions at the household level. You may be just the Champion we are looking for at the first workshops on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 or Saturday, May 31st.

 

When and Where:

Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the at the Hugh Gregg Coastal Conservation Center (located at the GBNERR Sandy Point Education Campus) in Greenland, New Hampshire

OR

Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Harris Center in Hancock, New Hampshire

 

Time: 8:00 to 4:30pm. Lunch and snacks provided.

Applications: On-line or in Adobe Acrobat format.

Application Deadline (Hancock Workshop): May 16, 2008

Acceptance (Hancock): May 23, 2008
